Amynta Group, a New York-based insurance services provider, has completed the acquisition of Southern States Underwriters and its affiliate SSC Insurance Agency, the company announced October 22, 2026. The combined entity, referred to collectively as Southern States Underwriters, operates as a specialty managing general underwriter.
The deal broadens Amynta Group's presence in the specialty insurance market, a segment characterized by non-standard or complex risks that fall outside the appetite of conventional carriers. Managing general underwriters like Southern States Underwriters play a pivotal role in that ecosystem, binding coverage and setting terms on behalf of insurers.
