Cboe Clear U.S. Wins SEC Approval to Clear Binary Options
Cboe Clear U.S. has secured SEC registration to expand into binary securities options clearing, broadening its scope beyond futures.
Cboe Global Markets announced Thursday that its clearinghouse subsidiary, Cboe Clear U.S., has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission to expand its clearing capabilities, a move that positions the Chicago-based markets operator to handle binary securities options alongside its existing futures clearing operations.
The SEC registration marks a significant regulatory milestone for Cboe Clear U.S., granting it authority to serve a broader segment of the derivatives market. By combining securities options and futures clearing under one roof, the clearinghouse is expected to offer market participants greater operational efficiency and consolidated risk management.
