Kraken Parent Payward Links With Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlement
Payward integrates SGB Net to enable 24/7 institutional settlement across Asia and the Gulf, while Singapore Gulf Bank gains Kraken Prime liquidity access.
Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, has struck a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank to bring around-the-clock settlement capabilities to institutional digital asset markets in Asia and the Gulf region. The deal centers on Payward's integration of SGB Net, the bank's real-time clearing network, eliminating the settlement delays that have long complicated institutional participation in crypto markets.
Under the arrangement, institutional clients operating across both regions will be able to clear and settle transactions at any hour, removing the constraint of traditional banking windows that typically limit activity to business hours. The move reflects growing demand from institutional players for infrastructure that matches the always-on nature of digital asset trading.

Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime as an additional source of digital asset liquidity as part of the agreement. That component is designed to deepen the liquidity pool available to the bank's institutional client base, giving counterparties more efficient access to digital asset markets through an established venue.
The partnership positions both firms at the intersection of traditional financial infrastructure and digital asset market structure — a space attracting increasing institutional attention as regulatory frameworks in Singapore and Gulf Cooperation Council jurisdictions mature. By connecting a licensed bank's clearing network directly to a major crypto exchange's prime services arm, the arrangement aims to reduce friction for large-scale participants moving between fiat and digital asset exposure.
