LexisNexis Launches AI Video Tool for Police Reporting at IACP
LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions unveiled Field Clarity, an AI-guided smartphone video assistant, alongside a modernized desk officer reporting system at IACP 2026.
LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions introduced two law enforcement technology products at the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in Orlando on Oct. 25, 2026: a modernized version of its Desk Officer Reporting System, known as DORS, and a new tool called Field Clarity, described as the first AI-guided smartphone video assistant designed for police use.
Field Clarity is positioned to help officers and community members capture higher-quality video evidence at the scene of an incident. The AI guidance is intended to improve the consistency and evidentiary value of footage collected in the field, potentially strengthening case-building efforts for law enforcement agencies.

The updated DORS platform is designed to streamline the process by which desk officers take and process reports, modernizing a workflow that many agencies have relied on for years. Together, the two products reflect a broader industry push to embed artificial intelligence into routine police documentation and community-facing interactions.
LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions framed the dual launch as an effort to improve both the officer experience and the quality of community engagement, arguing that better-guided video capture at the earliest stages of an incident can reduce downstream investigative burdens. The announcement was made ahead of the full IACP 2026 conference program in Orlando, Florida.
