American Bancorp, Inc., the Charlotte, North Carolina-based parent of American Pride Bank and New Republic Bank, announced October 1, 2026 that it has completed the sale of New Republic Bank to Juno Bancorp, Inc., marking a significant restructuring of the regional banking company's subsidiary portfolio.
Under the terms of the transaction, American Bancorp's Charlotte branch and its core client base will remain with American Pride Bank, preserving the company's foothold in the North Carolina market even as it sheds the New Republic Bank unit to the acquiring firm.
