NumbersGame has added Stripe, Square, and Ramp to its Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration for accounting firms, enabling multi-client practices and fractional CFOs to consolidate a client's full financial picture inside AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT, the company announced from New York.
The expanded integration sits alongside existing QuickBooks Online and Xero connections, meaning accountants can surface payments data, point-of-sale transactions, and corporate card spend in a single AI-driven workspace during month-end close and reconciliation workflows — without switching between platforms.

A key design element of the system is its human-in-the-loop requirement: any action that would alter the underlying books must receive explicit human approval before it is executed. That guardrail is aimed at addressing concerns among accounting professionals about AI tools making unauthorized or erroneous changes to client financial records.
The move reflects broader momentum among financial software developers to build MCP-compatible tooling as AI assistants become increasingly embedded in professional services workflows. For fractional CFOs managing multiple client entities, the ability to query live transaction data from payments processors alongside general-ledger files could meaningfully compress the time spent on reconciliation tasks.
