Tamkeen, EY MENA Sign MoU to Launch Talent Hub in Bahrain
Bahrain's Labour Fund Tamkeen and EY MENA agreed to establish a talent hub in the kingdom, targeting 125 new jobs to serve the broader MENA region.
Bahrain's Labour Fund, known as Tamkeen, signed a memorandum of understanding with EY MENA on the sidelines of the Gateway Gulf 2026 conference in Manama, the two parties announced. The agreement sets the stage for the creation of an EY Talent Hub within the Kingdom of Bahrain, marking a significant step in the country's effort to position itself as a regional professional-services center.
Once operational, the hub is expected to generate 125 jobs, according to the announcement. The facility is designed to support EY's operations across the Middle East and North Africa region, leveraging Bahrain's workforce development infrastructure and its comparatively open labor market policies.

Tamkeen, which functions as a government fund dedicated to developing Bahrain's private sector and labor force, has pursued a series of partnerships with multinational firms to expand employment opportunities for Bahraini nationals. The EY agreement fits squarely within that mandate, channeling professional-services roles into the local economy while extending regional operational capacity for one of the world's largest accounting and advisory networks.
The Gateway Gulf conference, held in Manama, serves as a platform for investment and economic development announcements targeting Gulf Cooperation Council markets. The timing of the MoU signing underscores Bahrain's continued ambition to attract high-value employers at a moment of heightened competition among GCC states for corporate regional headquarters and talent centers.
